DAY, APRIL 24, 2016 Lindsey had
a broken heart

“ I figured the doctor would tell me it was stress
or a pulled muscle. Within 24 hours, I learned
I needed open heart surgery to replace my valve.
There was no other option.
My mom and sister looked up statistics for
heart surgery in Pennsylvania to see which
hospital had the best ratings, which led me to
Lehigh Valley Hospital.
On December 10th, I got a new aortic valve.
It’s great to look back and know that I’m not
in that place anymore and I survived it.”
