following advice to keep safe while out and about:
• Trim costumers and outerwear in
reflective tape.
• Carry flashlights or glow sticks when out
at dusk or after dark.
• Make sure costumes fit well and are a
safe length – long skirts or capes that
drag on the ground can cause falls.
• Choose flame-retardant materials for
costumes and accessories.
• Pick battery-operated candles and lights
instead of lit candles.
