                                                                  Sagra Bistro & Bar this fall — the kind that will
                                                         remind you of the homestyle dishes your mother used
                                                         to make. In this case, owner Robyn Cavallaro is turning
                                                         to her own mother’s recipes for each week’s specials,
                                                         making savory additions to a seasonal menu already
                                                         perfect for warming you on a crisp day.

                                                            “I’m calling it ‘From My Mother’s Recipe Box’,” says
                                                         Cavallaro, who has turned an unassuming eatery in the
                                                         middle of Hellertown into a bustling, cheerful restaurant
                                                         that is popular with locals and brings in constant repeat
                                                         business. “My mother is the best cook I know, hands
                                                         down. Growing up, you’d sit around the table and have a
                                                         family meal, so I’m going to feature a comfort food item
                                                         each week that I had as a child. People feel it brings
                                                         them nostalgia and a sense of family and family dinners.
                                                        That’s the kind of atmosphere I want to have. It’s fun. It’s
                                                         not meant to be quiet and intimate.”
