stops to make during your Finger Lakes weekend getaway:
n Wineries: The Finger Lakes region produces award-
winning wines for good reason. Choose from among a number
of different wine trails and taste what each winery along the
way has to offer as long as you’re over 21. The Canandaigua
Wine Trail takes you from northeast of the city of Canandaigua
to the west side of Canandaigua Lake just south of Naples. You

Three other wine trails, the Keuka Lake Wine Trail,
the Seneca Lake Wine Trail and the Cayuga Lake Wine Trail,
(America’s first) take you around the lakes that give them their
names. The Finger Lakes Beer Trail includes craft breweries
from across the Finger Lakes region. Even the pickiest of beer
connoisseurs will not be disappointed.
n The Corning Museum of Glass: Take a self-guided tour
of the museum in Corning dedicated to the art, 3,500 years of
history and the science of glass. Founded in 1951 by Corning
Glass Works, it is home to the world’s largest collection of glass
— more than 45,000 glass objects, some over 3,500 years old.
Plan to spend for three to four hours seeing the exhibits and
demonstrations. Save time to shop at its GlassMarket, which

Rockwell Museum to see its exceptional collection of Western
and Native American Art. It is New York’s only affiliate to the

It is named for its founders, Bob and Hertha Rockwell Jr. For

n Watkins Glen International: Plan your
weekend for those when there are races. Another
way to experience the Glen: Drive it. You can pilot your
personal vehicle around the around the 3.4-mile Grand Prix
circuit behind a paced vehicle. After two laps, you can have
your picture taken at the stop/start finish line. Check the
