and Grille all invite man’s best friend to join you, whether you’re
dining outdoors or sampling what’s on tap.
Emmaus: The South Mountain Cycle and Café, a bicycle
dealership, offers an on-site café and coffee bar where your
pup is welcome at outdoor tables.
TAKE ME OUT TO THE BALLGAME
For years, the Lehigh Valley IronPigs have offered the
opportunity for dogs to attend specific “Dog Day” games. This
season, there are seven on the calendar, including Aug. 7
and 21. The “Pawparazzi” Dog Club provides complimentary
admission for dogs to all Dog Days on the season schedule,
two general admission tickets valid for one of the Dog Days, a
limited edition giveaway item and a donation to the Center for
Animal Health and Welfare.
“Baseball and man’s best friend are two things that go hand
in hand. In the summer, being able to sit in the grass and have
your dog there is really nice. We put water
bowls out there and have dog vendors set
up for them,” says Jeffrey Draluck, IronPigs
community relations manager. “The response
has been really good, and the numbers in the
club have continued to grow. Whenever you have
dogs around, it automatically brightens the mood
for people.”
